Is it just copy and paste, or something more technical?

to post a link you need to copy and paste the url (without any spaces) between these two tags the shortcut for these tags can be found by clicking this box from the "add tags" panel. hope that helps

how do I get a post to say what it is rather than showing the http// etc (i.e. how do I get it to say "Amazon wishlist" or "photobucket" so that you can click on it and go to that site?

to post a link you need to copy and paste the url (without any spaces) between these two tags after the first part, insert an = and the site. then in between those inner brackets you will type what you want to appear in place of the link. so it would go like [ url=blah bitty blah site address ] text to appear [ /url ] this would be without all those extra spaces i put in, of course. hint: you might try hitting quote on a message you see that is formatted the way you want to do yours. i think it'll show this method in a clearer way. at least that's how i finally figured out some of the little tricks on here. hope this is making at least a little sense...
